My 5 New Year’s Resolution

It’s that time of the year again when you make New Year’s resolutions that you will try to keep throughout the year.

Tradition dictates that every 365 days, you should try to kick bad habits and start your life anew. No matter how bad the previous may have been, you have a chance to start your life anew. However, it certainly is no walk in the park to make a good New Year’s Resolution and stick to it. But with great faith and determination, I’ve decided to make a New Year’s Resolution and stick to it throughout the year. After pondering over hundreds of very good options, I’ve managed to narrow down the list to 5 which I hope I will be able to keep throughout the year.

Below are my 5 New Year’s Resolution for 2008:

1. Not to reveal my New Year’s resolution to anyone.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Oops, I’ve broken the resolution already by revealing my resolution not to reveal my resolutions. Oh well!! I have 4 more to keep.

By the way, Happy New Year to all the readers. Hope you made a resolution to keep visiting my blog and post comments once in a while.

  1. Hey Chhamanator,

Came to your blog after a “mnnit” google search. I passed a few years back work in London now.

I can see through some of your posts that you haven’t quite adjusted to ground realities of Alld. Don’t intend to pontificate but Moti is a great university and the things you are worried about are the things that will build your character. You are worried about bad food-you wil crave mess food after eating London food. You are worried about ragging -wait till you meet absolute batshit crazy bosses at work. You are worried about electricity – you will learn planning for redundancies.

Life is what you make of it. I had a fabulous time inspite of much greater physical harships. I also came from a very non-elite family background. If you want bones to pick then Moti will never measure up but methinks you should be grateful for what many in this country would give an arm and leg for.
